From the year 2006 the city of Salerno adopts the Luci d’artista initiative.
In 2009-2010 an ideal twinning between the two cities, of Turin and Salerno, produced a reciprocal exchange.
In 2011, the Salerno event that every year attracts thousands of tourists from all over Italy but also from the rest of Europe, sees the participation of the artist Nello Ferrigno.
The luminous panels he designed, made by the Turin-based company as well as for many other installations, they were then exchanged with the Piedmontese capital, for subsequent editions of the winter event, renewing the twinning started five years earlier.
The theme of the enchanted garden is particularly successful, that envelops the historic center of Salerno with variegated and always different lights, and makes the municipal villa an authentic fairytale garden, with wizards, sorcerers, bright tunnels and enchanted figures.
